James Bond comes to Jávea
Jávea’s Cine Jayan celebrates the lifting of measures on cinemas with several screenings of the much-anticipated ‘No Time To Die’.

It’s been a long time coming. After almost 18 months of delay due to the global pandemic, James Bond finally returns to the silver screen for the 25th time with ‘No Time To Die’, which also marks Daniel Craig’s last outing in the tuxedo suit. And just a few days after the world premiere at the Royal Albert Hall in London, Bond comes to Jávea.
Cine Jayan, located in the port area, has been screening blockbusters for more than 60 years and has recently undergone an extensive renovation to make it one of the premier independent cinemas in the region and one of the best equipped in the whole of the country.
The cinema regularly shows films in what is called the VOSE format – Version Original Subtitulada al Español – which means that the audio will be in the original language, such as English, whilst there will be subtitles in Spanish along the bottom of the screen. This is a great way to expand your language skills.
Tickets are priced at 6 euros, except on Tuesdays when there is a special discount to 5 euros, and can be purchased from the ticket office on the day of the screening or online at the cinema’s website here. The cinema normally opens about 30 minutes before the start of the first film of the day.
Cine Jayan is a valuable asset for Xàbia. It has survived the global pandemic and now it needs our support. to continue to do so.
