400 swimmers participate in 14th edition of the Open Sea Swimming Meeting
The winner of top discipline completed the 3,000m course in 40m 36s whilst the top female was just over a minute behind.

A total of 400 participants took part in the 14th edition of the Xàbia Open Sea Swimming Meeting last Sunday, an event that had three disciplines: 3,000 metres, 1,500 metres and a 500 metre course for the younger swimmers.
The conditions were ideal for the meeting which was organised by the Department of Sports in collaboration with the Club Esportiu Llebeig, Centre Excursionista Xàbia and the rowing section of the Club Náutico Jávea.

The councillor responsible for Sports, Toni Molina, thanked all the participants for their commitment to the event, filling up all the available spaces within days of the registration period opening, and had a special mention for the younger members who completed the 500m course with great results.
He also thanked the support of the Club Esportiu Llebeig, Centre Excursionista Xàbia and the Club Náutico Jávea in making the event a success and praised the technical staff at the Department of Sports for their willingness “to give everything” in each and every sporting event in Xàbia.
