The Provincial Highways Department has imposed a speed limit of 30km/h in the El Colomer section of the Carretera de Jesús Pobre, the same provisional solution that has already been installed on the Carretera de Portitxol between the Consum roundabout and the Saladar supermarket.
Two large yellow signs have been placed at the bottom of the El Colomer ascent, next to Bodegas Jávea, and the Department has painted yellow road markings. This action has been taken due to the high number of pedestrians who walk along the road to enter the town and the fact that, despite there being two large speed bumps, vehicles are often driven at high speed along this stretch of road.

The speed limit is provisionally applied for the 300m stretch of Carretera de Jesús Pobre from the olive tree roundabout to the junction with Calle Barcelona, where there is one of the tosca stone crosses, el Cruz de Colomer. The speed limit for the rest of the Carretera de Jesús Pobre will remain at 50/60km/h.
