1.6 million journeys were made on TRAM d’Alacant during November

The historic record of 18,267,803 journeys last year has already been surpassed by the 18,743,584 customers in the first eleven months of 2024.

More than 1.6 million journeys were made on the TRAM d’Alacant network during the month of November, an increase of 5.76% on the same period in 2023. A total of 1,631,480 trips were made, taking the annual total to 18,743,584 which already surpasses the total for the whole of last year (18,267,803) with the data for December still to be considered.

During November, Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV) recorded 2,321,891 individual journeys between the TRAM d’Alacant network (1,631,480) and Metrovalencia (690,411), the later being much reduced due to the fact that Metrovalencia did not have a full service during the month.

According to the data, Line 2 of TRAM d’Alacant which links the stations of Alicante-Luceros with Sant Vicent del Raspeig recorded the most journeys (692,981), followed by Line 1 (Alicante-Luceros to Benidorm) with 832,599, Line 2 (Alicante-Luceros to El Campello) with 256,367, Line 4 (Alicante-Luceros to Alicante-Plaza La Coruña) with 183,023, Line 5 (Alicante-Porta del Mar to Alicante-Plaza La Coruña) with 90,677, and finally Line 9 (Benidorm to Dénia) with 79,833 trips.

In terms of traffic through stations, Alicante-Luceros was the busiest with 309,692 users. It was followed by Alicante-Mercado with 186,264, and Benidorm (114,228). Next in line were Alicante-Marq Castillo, (98,371), Sant Vicent del Raspeig (95,895), Alicante-Bulevar del Pla (50,663), Alicante-Pintor Gastón Castelló (50,660), Alicante-Garbinet, (50,132), El Campello (48,811) and Universitat (48,449).
